about

A NOTE FROM KIMBERLY:

A beloved member of our fan family who many of you knew, Joshua J Jackson has passed away. It was suicide.

Josh was a strong, brilliant, kind person who fought his battle with mental illness for many years. He fought hard, I know this. Despite his challenges, he gave me (and EVERYONE around him) smiles and memories to last a lifetime. He really was beautiful and so gentle, just a wonderful person. A pleasure.

He traveled a good portion of the country to hang with me, my crew and his fellow super fans for... gosh, it's been maybe a decade now... so many shows. He was SO supportive and generous, always there with encouragement and love. Josh was a special, genuine soft-hearted guy who I ALWAYS looked forward to seeing on tour. I don't know how many tours we booked where one of my immediate thoughts were, "Oh I hope I get to see Joshua!" No joke, he was that special.

I remember dear Joshua with a smile and mourn the loss of his warm presence with tears.

From his mother:
"This is Robin, Joshua's mom. I have sad news, which I hate to put on FaceBook, but I don't know how to reach some of Joshua's friends. Joshua passed away on Friday morning, 19 January 2018. He lost his long battle with mental illness (bipolar depression and anxiety disorder) and committed suicide. He sought help and fought hard for about 15 years, but couldn't gain the health and peace he wanted. Thank you to all those who provided friendship and made his life less lonely. If you are struggling, too, please find help.

Joshua's memorial service celebrating his life will be held at noon, Friday, 26 January 2018, at Redeemer Evangelical Covenant Church, 2500 Prairie Ave, Beloit, WI. All are welcome."

Rest in Peace, Joshua. You will be so very missed.
